짧은 시에 각 알파벳의 소리를 최대한 느낄 수 있도록 만들어진 시 입니다.

활용 방법

추천하는 활용 방법은 각 알파벳을 배울 때 시를 함께 낭송하며 아이가 시를 외울 수 있게 해 주세요.
편하게 즐기며 낭송을 할 수 있게 되면 낭송 직후, “여기에서 제일 많이 들리는 소리가 뭐야?” 라고 물어
아이가 각 알파벳의 소리를 말할 수 있게 유도 해 주세요.

주의

알파벳의 이름을 말하는 것이 아닌 알파벳의 소리를 듣는것이 목표입니다.
예: Belly of the bear is the big, brown, belly.
“여기에서 어떤 소리를 제일 많이 들었어?” / “ㅂ 소리가 제일 많이 들렸어요.” / “그렇구나. 그럼 ㅂ 소리를 내는 알파벳은 뭐가 있을까?” / “B요!” / “맞았어! 우리 B를 생각하며 ㅂ소리에 더 집중해서 한번 더 해보자!”

사용시기

발도르프 학교 기준,
영어 알파벳을 영어권 국가에서는 1학년때 배우고 영어를 제 2언어로 배우는 국가에서는 3학년때 배웁니다.
혹시 저학년 아이지만, 영어권 국가에 거주하지 않으시더라도 낭송 활동을 하고 싶으시다면
소리 구분이나 알파벳을 가르치는것에 무게를 두지 마시고
아이가 재미있게 외우고 낭송할 수 있는것에 무게를 두시길 추천합니다.

들어가기 전에…

이 포스팅은 미국학교의 기준이라 한국에서 발도르프 학교를 다니는 학생들에겐 맞지 않는 부분도 있습니다. 공립학교나 사립학교를 다니는데 집에서 발도르프 홈스쿨링을 실천하고자 하신다면 추천합니다.

언어의 능력에만 집중하지 마시고 1학년 아이의 역량은 이정도면 적당하구나, 하고 봐 주세요!

발도르프 홈스쿨링을 실천하시거나 아이가 발도르프 학교에 다니는 분. 혹은 어떤 식으로든 발도르프식 교육을 작게나마 실천하시는 분들. 1학년이 끝나가는 시점에, 내 아이의 언어능력이 얼마나 되어야 하는지 궁금하시죠?

오늘은 그래서 1학년의 언어능력에 대한 체크리스트를 만들었어요.

1학년 학생들은:

역량

• 이야기를 들을때 20분 정도까지 조용히 앉아있을 수 있어야 합니다.
• 어제 들은 이야기를 순서대로, 등장인물과 사건 등 자세히 기억하고 말할 수 있어야 합니다.
• 시, 율동, 노래, 짧은 이야기 등 외워서 낭송 할 수 있어야 합니다.
• 선생님의 지시사항을 듣고 따를 수 있어야 하며, 적정 시간동안은 그 일에 집중할 수 있어야 합니다.
• 질문에 대한 답을 할 수 있어야 합니다.
  • 이 항목에서 질문이란, 1+1은 뭔가요? 와 같은 공부에 관한 질문이 아닌 일상 생활속의 질문을 뜻합니다. 예를 들면 오늘 날씨가 어때요? 같은 질문에 맞는 답을 할 줄 알아야 합니다.
• 다른 친구들과 함께 간단한 연극을 외워 발표 할 수 있어야 합니다.

글자 (한글과 영어 등)

• 각 문자의 소리와 모양, 그리고 영어는 대문자를 알아야 합니다.
  • 소문자는 아직이예요 – 2학년이 시작되며 소문자를 배웁니다. 혹 1학년때 소문자를 배우더라도 아직은 대문자를 구별할 수 있는지만 봅니다.
• 알파벳의 순서를 알아야 합니다.
  • 영어라면 ABC, 한글이라면 가나다…겠죠?
• 소리 구별하기
  • 시나 노래에서 자주 들리는 소리 – 예를 들면 ‘하늘에서 하얀 눈이 하늘하늘 내려옵니다.’ 에서 어떤 소리를 제일 많이 들었어? 라고 물었을 때 “하”를 여러번 들었어요. 라고 대답할 줄 알아야 하며, 영어의 예를 들자면 Belly of the Bear is the big, brown belly. 에서는 b, 즉 ㅂ 소리를 제일 많이 들었다고 말할 수 있어야 해요.
  • 같은 소리로 끝나는 단어들을 구별하고 생각할 수 있어야 해요 – 한글로는 운율이라고도 하죠. 예를 들면 눈, 문, 운이나 사랑해, 행복해, 같이해 등이요. 영어로는 rhyming words라고 하는데요, 스펠링과 상관없이 같은 소리로 끝나는 단어들이죠. 예를 들면 one, fun, sun, done 등을 생각 해 볼 수 있겠네요.

글자 쓰기와 읽기

• 글자 베껴쓰기
  • 아직 1학년인 만큼 주 언어가 영어인 아이들은 대문자만 베껴씁니다. 한글은 상관 없어요.
• 주 사용 손을 이용해 글자를 씁니다. (오른손잡이는 오른손으로, 왼손잡이는 왼손으로)
• 연필을 올바르게 잡습니다.
• 단어 사이사이, 윗줄과 아랫줄 사이에 간격을 올바르게 넣습니다.
• 문장을 구별할 수 있어야 합니다.
• 베껴 쓴 문장을 읽을 수 있어야 합니다.
  • 이미 알고있는 시나 노랫말을 받아적고 함께 읽을 수 있어야 (말할 수 있어야) 해요.
